Ben Schram manages the private lands forestry programs at the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. His portfolio includes the Qualified Forest Program, Forestry Assistance Program, and Climate Action and Reforestation in Northern Michigan Program. He has experience in family forest tax policy, program administration, and technical assistance. Ben received his BS and MS in Forestry from Michigan State University. He is a Certified Forester passionate about family forests and family forest owners. He works to make sure Michigan’s family forest owners can manage their forests according to their values, which necessarily includes having robust markets for their products. Linkedin |
