Brian Craig

The career and service of educator-architect Brian Craig, FAIA, span from the Peace Corps in Afghanistan to leadership of the Grand Rapids Public Schools Board of Education during very challenging times, from non-profit boards to Senior Vice President of an award-winning architect and engineering firm, from working summer factory jobs in the tire plants of Akron, Ohio to founding a graduate program in architecture. A common thread throughout is stewardship of our shared inheritance and collaboratively working with diverse individuals and groups toward the goal of creating a sustainable future – leaving this place better than we found it. Continuing his long-held interest and studies in ethics, sustainability, and the build environment, Brian’s current work focuses on Michigan forest biomaterials.
