The wood residuals challenge is complex and extends beyond the job responsibilities of any one role within any one segment of the forestry sector. Policy, permitting, scale, transportation, economics, technology, and more play a role. The result is a cascading effect that impacts the health, safety, and financial stability of our forests and industry. This session is focused on local, short-term outcomes and will inform the upcoming Wood Residuals Summit scheduled for May 2025 in Traverse City, MI.
