2017 Application forms and dues structure

Individual membership in MIFBI
Corporate membership in MIFBI

OVERVIEW

MIFBI invites individuals and corporate entities (businesses, institutions, associations and government agencies) supportive of developing a forest bioeconomy in Michigan to join MIFBI as a Regular or Associate member. Though a self-appointed Board of Directors governs MIFBI, we actively seek to build a dedicated constituency to provide advice and feedback. Members will enjoy benefits and services intended to serve their personal and business needs. In addition, members can help shape the direction of the organization as well as MIFBI products and services.

MEMBER CATEGORIES

Regular Members. Regular members are those who wish to play an active role in helping develop and shape MiFBI and the Forest Bioeconomy Sector. Regular members can:

  1. Attend annual general meetings.
  2. Be invited to serve on standing, or ad hoc, committees established by the Executive Director (Operating Committees). Operating Committees will be designed to assist the Executive Director in planning and development of organizational activities relevant to the needs and interests of members in key activity areas, such as policy advocacy and advice, communications, services and benefits, etc.
  3. Present their consensus opinion to the Board of Directors regarding strategic direction, corporate positioning, and priorities of the organization.

Associate Members. Associate members are those who are supportive of the MiFBI purpose and direction and want to capitalize on educational benefits and business-to-business activities. Associate members can:

  1. Attend annual general meetings.
  2. Be invited to serve on Operating Committees (see details above).
